Those living in Kolkata can avail flights from Tezpur located at a distance of 216km from Itanagar.
Railways
Although the railway station nearest to Arunachal Pradesh is Harmuty located at a distance of 33km from Itanagar, the most convenient station is North Lakhimpur in Assam, about 60km from Itanagar. Available at these stations are both passenger trains as well as other local trains.
Roadways
The State Transport Corporation of Arunachal Pradesh provides several intra-state & inter-state bus services plying at regular intervals. A direct service is available from
Naharlagun to Itanagar. Some of the other important road options are from Guwahati 381km, Imphal 495km & Shillong at 481km.
