Bheri
is one of the largest tributaries of Karnali. It's also
isolated far in the west and is relatively unexplored.
It can be approached by a flight to Nepalganj and 4-5
hour's bus or long journey by bus via Chisapani (the
ending point of Karnali / Bheri rafting).
The first section remains quite tough with twisting
and turning narrow rapids. It takes across narrow gorge
section of the river with vertical cliffs either sides.
The gorge and canyon interlinked with open section as
it becomes closer to join Karnali. The lower section
still offers smaller but exciting rapids. This river
is famous for fishing; actually most popular for it.
After joining Karnali it goes to Chisapani to the end,
which can be joined with a Jungle trip in the Royal
Bardiya National Park.
