A wide variety of dense forestation is prevalent in the eastern and western regions of the Himalayas. The Western region in particular is lush with blue pine, spruce, silver fir, junipers, conifers deodar, and Chirpine, while the Eastern region comprises of maples, rhododendrons, alder, and birch, oaks, laurels, and dwarf willows.
Wildlife attractions in Himalayas comprises of around 152 species of exotic birds among which 50 arrive here during the summers while the rest are locally found. Wild animals in Himalayas consist of rhinoceroses, bison, and Elephants along with foothills animals like red panda, brown bear, snow leopard, black bear, and languor monkey. Some exotic animals that are found here are Tibetan Yak, Kashmir stag and musk deer. Exotic butterflies hovering over the trees and flowers are quiet common here. With almost one third of all mountain animals finding shelter here, the Himalayan mountain range, features various national parks and wildlife sanctuaries.
