Kufri, a tiny hill resort in the southern part of Himachal Pradesh, which is merely 13 kms from Shimla, Kufri is also known for its trekking and hiking routes. Located at an altitude of 2,510 m above sea level amongst the foothills of the Himalayas, Kufri is derived from the name Kufer which literally means pond.
