Dal Lake – Regarded as the “Jewel in the Crown” of Srinagar, Dal Lake is an important tourist attraction of Srinagar. It comprises of a series of lakes, including the Nagin Lake and features the traditional Kashmiri houseboats or Shikaras.
Nagin Lake – Nagin Lake listed amongst the top lakes of Srinagar is divided from Dal Lake only by a causeway which is preferred by locals as well as tourists mostly for walking and bicycling. From the causeway you get the best views of the lake and the houseboats and Shikaras.
Mughal Gardens – It is one of the most beautiful gardens in India featuring planted gardens with stepped terraces and flowing watercourses. Mughal Gardens is a combination of three renowned gardens namely the Nishat Bagh, Shalimar Gardens and Chashmashahi.
Hazaratbal Mosque – The highly esteemed and gorgeous Hazaratbal Mosque is located across the Dal Lake from Shalimar Bagh. The mosque made of white marble with a dome and minaret is the repository of a single hair of the Prophet Mohammed.
Shankaracharya Temple – Located at nearly one thousand feet above Srinagar city, Shankaracharya Temple dates back to 2,500 BC and is devoted to Lord Shiva. According to religious beliefs it is at this very place where Shankaracharya stayed ten centuries ago to revive "Sanatan Dharma".
